ohmai spin on muism~

This weekend is just a frenzy of excitement for all you guys, of course there’s the very amazing Skin & Shape Fair which I will definitely 100% cover as the days go by because I’ve got demos but can never go back in because the sim is always full tsp… proves how amazing it really is though~ Andddd… another super exciting event is Muism’s 2nd Anniversary Sale!

Muism has been around the grid for over 2 years now and as a token of appreciation to their customers, they have decided to hold their first ever sale (and might I add a HUGE one) today, Sept 26th.
Items are discounted at a rate of 30%-50% which is amazing! Items not included in the sale are Poses and items not made by Migi Voom or Icemocolo Voom.

I’ve been honored to be asked by Muism to feature some of their sale items out and I’ve decided to say a big thank you to the Muism staff by showing you guys some looks I’ve created for their items. I have actually never been to Muism before because I suck like that and I’m so glad to be invited to take a look around the sim and cover their sale. I also established a lil challenge for myself and I hope the challenge can be explained through the pictures below… lots of first for me this time; first time blogging Muism, first time blogging using a male avatar (Yes, dear Elliot is finally introduced to the family, say HI!), first time mixing several “me’s” in a picture… first time using actual background scenes… first time… well you know the list goes on and on and on. It’s been so terribly fun coming up with these looks (17 in total!) and these pictures and I really cross my fingers you guys like them enough to head down over to Muism!

So here goes nothing!
I’ll be featuring pieces from the sale in several different settings! ^^

First up, lets just say Fall is creeping up the corners and as much as i’m super gleeful Mr. Sun is gonna stop scorching me, I know tons of you are gonna miss the Beach. Specially my fellow Californians~ So in homage to that I decided to bask in the sun one final time with Muism’s gorgeous swim wear and get some tan to last me through fall 😉 I must say, ever since I came into SL there has been much debate about how bad/good body oil and body glitter etc is on one’s av~ I decided to brave the so called extremely “tacky” choice and see how things work. So I dusted tons of glitter and actually really liked the way it worked for this scene.

Muism has a reputation for their coats and jackets but one must not neglect the intricacy in some of their more casual designs such as swim suit. Their Tropic Dress which I’ve decided to feature in 2 different shades is one of my favorite being the print is lovely (who said beach wear has got to = bikini? tsk!) and it even comes with a flex skirt option to turn into a dress. Now that’s something you just gotta have! And as much as Elliot looks pretty darn bug in Muism’s amazing Board Shorts, I believe this Yellow Bead Embellished Bikini seriously stole the show. Gotta love soaking as much sun as possible!

And next up, what better way to live the glamorous life than to walk down a red carpet filled with paparazzi and screaming fans eh? Heh, I thought it was gonna be fun making a mini band out of this shoot~ To take some of Muism’s already stunning formals and put a rock and roll twist on it which proves a simpler feat seeing that Muism makes some of the most amazing rocker Jackets! The red carpet inspiration was definitely from all the crazy award shows we’ve been having lately in rl from the VMAs to the Emmys.

The girl in the centerstage wears a lovely Lace Chiffon Dress that was initially a floor length formal but I added my own spin on it by shortening the length and making it into a mini dress. This is a great way to make some dresses for yours change form and style~

Finally the final set comes from my quirky mind with a lil help from my rl roommate. I wanted a great wey to show off the coats and jackets Muism have but wasn’t quite sure what sort of scene to do. Immediately my roommate offered, picture them in an art gallery, sipping on champagne and being all fabulous. Well obviously there’s no champagne involved nor are they the most fabulous bunch, definitely will catch your eye though 😉

So these 2 shots features a group of kids who in my mind are either history or art majors; eccentric and quirky, each with their own unique sense of style. I wanted to make them each as eclectic as possible yet being able to seemingly blend into the picture a if they’re posing for a group shot~ So I hope I achieved that and that I gave you guys a different perspective to see Muism from. Muism has tons of jackets and coats, but in my mind they’ve been very clean and classic with their vendors. I love that about them, but it might also limit those who might feel awkward with classic traditional apparel; thus in all the looks above I aim to put my own perspective and flair into their clothes.

Soooo… to end things off; I’d like to say a BIG HUGE Thank you to Miaow, a new dear friend of mine actually without her, would have never inspired me to do the looks that I did for Muism. So both me and Mia decided to pose in a few pictures together wearing not just Muism stuff but Muism’s new releases!! *drumrolls* Yes! As if the sale wasn’t mind blowingly awesometastic enough, they got to go release some great stuff to tempt you guys into going over even more!

The bags me and Mia plus the denim shorts are the new items we both decided to feature. This Massengar bag comes in both male and female versions and even has 3 poses built into it so you could wear it in several ways. The details and textures on it are just gorgeous~ The denim shorts as well have lovely textures! I sense that Muism will be going through a huge overall the next year and their new releases in my opinion just brings their brand to a whole new level. So be on a look out for those new releases to sweep your feet off the ground, they’re really stepping their game up!

falling for gatcha~

As I said I’ll be back to cover on the Gatcha festival~ I’m hoping to gear up and start blogging again while resting a little after the mainstore cause I’m kinda drained from creating new things I won’t lie. I have so much ideas but schools just spinning out of control. So i’ll slink back into blogging, something that I love to refresh my inspiration juices a bit. As they say, oil the rusty gears! hee…

So when one thinks of Gatcha the words random, awesome and evil all comes into mind. Exact sentiments from me; this is the first Gatcha festival I’ve ever been too and I’m a big fan of those tiny ol’ machines where you just don’t know what sorta goodies you’re gonna get. The idea of that surprise in box, or prim, in our case — is just endearingly evil. You see your lindens slowly slip away but look on the bright side, you probably have tons of new goodies and even some transferable ones for friends!

This time round I spotted lots of gorgeous prints and textures running around in the gatcha prizes. So I decided to do a few looks inspired by the next season that’s slowly creeping back into LA. Sorry summer, but fall is really much much muchhhh better. When I think fall fashion, i think warm, cosy, lots of reds, browns, oranges and maybe a tinge of green leftover. I think textures and prints! Which falls together with the items from gatcha very very well.

The first, no well both looks feature my favorite piece from this year’s festival — Elate‘s Elise dress! I love the girly youthful shape with the vintage florals which are oh so so feminine. I paired them up with a tweed jacket from DP*YumYum which isn’t gatcha but so appropriate for fall; a piece you can wear over and over again and just never gets boring. The accessories in this look mostly came from Gatcha and I especially wanna give special love to PIDIDDLE‘s broach and head pieces which are so pretty! I kept spinning trying to get tanks but alas, lady luck wasn’t on my side this time round. Luckily I have plenty of accessories from my hard work~

The next look is really mostly gatcha love! The turtle sleeveless top comes from couverture, a special rare item you get if you spin endlessly like I did just to get a specific color of their tights. I loved these socks from sen*2 and scarf from LOULOU&CO. as well~ I find it so incredible how designers are putting out some very similar colors for the upcoming season which proves which colors are on the buzz lately. These adorable candy from TEKUTEKU comes with cheek blushing as well, hence the flushed look on my face. Which by the way goes incredibly well with the lip makeup of vive9‘s Po — my new favorite skin thus far from Blu! BeetleBones also finally finished her gatcha after several probing and annoying on my part. You’ll find these adorable heels over at her gatcha stand, tons of colors to get and the style is just too adorable for words!

So, as we soon say goodbye to summer; we shall all remember what a great season we had here in sl! Tons of amazing releases that just blows my mind. I’m eggcited to see what’s coming up in fall! So lets keep em coming guys!

brave in nude~

Not much to say cept imma be narcissistic and incorporate some of my items in this look. Nude colors have lately been creeping up on my style~ Something about nude champagne colors that look extremely soft yet brave as they sometimes make you look as if there’s no clothes on. I decided to overcome that by using textures from the lingerie and odd shapes~

I’m wearing vive9‘s new Maya skin which I love love, heart heart — beyond words! Blu has come a long way since her first big hit in the community. I love how fresh her skins are, incredibly strong skins but so young and chic~ The features of her skins are something I love with my shape cause we share the same love for wide set eyes. Po and Maya her new skins have definitely won my heart over!

Putting on the gold version of my Miss.Thumbelina dress, I decided to add Beetlebones‘ gorgeous nicola dress frilly pieces. I know how much sue slaved over this dress, and I love how I can play with it and just move it about to create different effects in other looks!

In this I’m featuring some fri.day items which I actually have never featured before *gasp* I’m sure most of you have heard about fri.day, not only their high quality basics but also that huge sale they had! Lucky for me, I was incredibly out of touch with the news during the period of their opening so I decided to get so much goodies during the sale. My favorite is definitely their hair, fri.day has some amazingly textured hair which looks soft and elegant and classic~ something that rings all throughout the brand.

I also have on Maitreya shoes which are late news but oh how stunning; hands down best sculpted feet when you’re aiming for realism. I wouldn’t normally pair prim feet with stockings but the sheerness of these stockings worked well with the shoes.

let the show begin~

Just something fun with some new goodies I collected recently~~ I gotta say whoohoo to ATOMIC for their brand new spankin sim which consists of some reaaallly awesome new releases. I particularly am so glad that hair is now being sold there! I got myself this adorable Gwen style that comes with a top hat that can be changed to either white or black. I love how the feminine aspect of this style comes only when you tilt your camera angle and see a tied bit at the back~

Another awesome new release comes from MG Fashion which never fails to blow me away with their amazing jackets. This Louis Jacket is no doubt a high fashion essential — a masculine cut with interesting lines down the sleeves and comes in so many awesome colors! I got myself a few but brown was the way to go for this look. I paired it up with AU V‘s lovely Cleque dress. If you’ve never been to AU V and you’re a fan of high fashion, you really should taxi down and take a look about. Jare Capalini’s interesting couture styles are always a pleasure to behold!

I’m also awesomely proud of finding these gorgeous pair of kboots from xstreet seller Ju Weissnicht. I’m such a bad shoe shopper, I reuse my pairs over and over again, so I took a good day off to shop for some brilliant shoes and I’m so glad to add some new ones to my collection ^^

my dose of beetlebones

*waveness* I just arrived back in LA and I’m having a bad evil jetlag…so i’m a tad bit buzzed and I might make a lil spelling error or mistakes along this post. In fact I just noticed a picture editing error that I wanna smack myself for 😦 pooness!!

Anywho! I’m missing my sister so much from all the way here in Los Angeles as she’s slaving away in Asia teehee… I do have to congratulate her on a successful collection yet again ❤ Suetabulous Yootz from Beetle Bones finally released her 2nd collection which she deems city chic ~ dedicating to her missed life in LA. I must say the pieces reflect a lot of our favorite things whilst shopping and living in Los Angeles. A lot of the clothes are stylish on their own but also serve as great layering pieces, which fits the unpredictable weather here, sometimes it’s just blazing hot like vegas and sometimes it’s waaayy too cold, so layers serve for easy changes throughout the day.

I decided to take some essential pieces from Beetle Bones‘ city chic collection and layered it with different pieces from other designers to show off this lines great versatility! I also made sure each look features a different color of Suetabulous adorable “I Skinned an Ostrich Bag” (lols at the name). This bag has a cute hand drawn textures which shows Sue’s great improvement since her first line, and even has a small lil sculpted bone as a brand keychain. I love her attention to detail and this bag really is one to keep as it goes well with any look.

The first look I kept simple and easy, something casual that works for daily wear where you don’t want to fuss around a lot. Using Beetle Bones’ Skinny Lowriser Jeans and Laboheme top, I paired it with Gigi Couture‘s adorable plaid sweater. I love these jeans from Beetle Bones as her attention to details yet again show in the backpockets where we see a lil sewn in bone.

Next up is a look I love and hearts! I took Sue’s adorable Michelle dress which features a high pencil skirt and a detailed corseted top — the details on the top of this dress is so cute, but I wanted to make this more unpredictable by layering it with her jailbird sweater and Madsy’s xoxo Cardigan. I have featured Madsy in my early posts but I’d just like to highlight what an incredibly amazing new and upcoming brand! I love her originality in all her pieces and they really are must haves! This look is more feminine which works well if you’re going out on a date of some sorts or days when you just wish to look your lady like best!

Finally, the last look is something more spunky and fun, with bright colors and cute hair, this look is great for a fun day out! Using this Jailbird sweater yet again, I loveeee this piece and is definitely my favorite from Sue’s collection. I worked it with her skinny jeans again but in a different shade, and layered this with Pink Outfitters‘ Esme Sweater Vest which makes for a cool look.

I featured JUNWAVE hair in all 3 looks and if you guys haven’t drop on down to buy some of JUNWAVE’s new hair… you’re missing out on some really awesome styles! I ❤ this brand so much when it comes to hair, and it’s hard to keep myself away from the store… I just keep coming back every time there’s a new release *sniffles for wallet*

boyish touches

Suetabulous Yootz from beetlebones recently found a little hair store that I’ve never been to before, only upon arriving did I remember that Newreem Waffle posted this store within her blog a while ago ^^. Finding a new store always makes me squee, especially one which such adorable hair such as Hair [OH]! Another awesome find within this store is their prim cheek blush that I’ve been sporting a lot in world lately, gotta ❤ that it’s a freebie!

I decided to do 2 rather casual looks around the hair and also featuring some lovely stores I haven’t yet have the chance to. The first look is a rather quirky look that borders on being rather boyish. It’s because I’m sporting this adorable v neck shirt from NU i which features mainly casual menswear. I love the little folds and details in each and every one of NU i’s clothes and it really does show that basics can be made so classic just by the amount of dedication one shows in them. I paired this shirt up with Gigi Couture‘s cowboy vest which comes in several wearing options and also THE DOG‘s scarf which I <3<3<3.

The next look still is rather tom boy which i guess has been my mood recently hee, but I made it a tad bit feminine with beige and peach hues. I’m loving the ruffle detail on this vest which is made by none other than Tomoyo Breitman a fellow resident blogger. Tomoyo has been dabbling with poses for a while now and recently moved onto adorable clothes such as this ruffled vest. Her store MayoNaise will be coming up reallllyyy soon, so be on a big lookout for that! I paired this lovely vest with simple denim shorts from oyakin and adorable boots. To make it more interesting, I accessorized this look with gisele‘s gorgeous necklace which comes top in my favorites list for jewelry!

I’m terribly excited for Hair [OH] and I can’t wait to see what other sort of hair creations she comes up with! So why not pay this lil store and visit and come out with some lovely new hair do to run about with in world? 🙂

glitter and gold

Lately the looks i’ve been coming up with have been leaning towards a more glamorous edge, which makes me wonder why since I’m with my family and have been the most mellow and toned down I’ve been in ages *inserts lol* I’m having tons of fun finding all these amazing glam stuff in my inventory though! So today, i’m showing 2 looks which revolves around the fab glitter and gold~ what every girl kinda needs in their inventory no?

The first dress comes from this store I found not too long ago called GARCONS Tokyo, they have some supper shiny dresses which makes for great night wear — each dress I got comes in a long formal version and a shorter fun version; I opted for the shorter one with ruffles as I thought they’d be great fun to pair with these pair of chunky Beauchamp Heels from Gbberish which are oh so interesting and fun. To carry the leather up, I wore AOHARU‘s cut head accessory in cow print which makes for an interesting fun look. I decided for simple layering of pearls which I’ve been rather obsessed with since in rl, mom says pearls can only be worn after marriage *nuuuu* I insist they’re rather flattering on any age!

The next look features something more on a tomboy side, but still glitter and sequined! I’m excited for Kendall’s new brand Wasted Youth as the store features a collection filled with fun daring prints and adorable daily wear. This sequined blazer comes with adorable sculpted shoulders and the most interesting print! Something this strong can make one look old so I opted for short denims from Milk Motion and ripped leggings from Fishy*Strawberry (I LOVE!!). I accessorized with Hair Salon CriCri‘s hair (free I believe from a summer fair) that has a script to turn that flower piece on and off — something so gorgeous shouldn’t be hidden though!! The belt is an adorable weaved belt from Beetle Bones, and will be in her upcoming release which features adorable hand drawn ostrich leather bags too! Be on a lookout for that ^^

Both looks features the brand new skin Raine from PinkFuel which has such a HUGE variety of makeup for any genre that one might cry to pick favorites. I love the lips on this skin and have been rather obsessed with the cream shade that allows the lips to show oh so perfectly. Mochi has been working long and hard on these skins and one can see the hardwork from how gorgeous they turn out to be. ❤ Bless her heart and I anticipate more gorgeousness from Mochi in the future and I know tons of you will be too!

different attitudes

I couldn’t keep away for long with all the stuff I’ve been dying to blog about! Royal Blue, Madsy and Viva La Glam are some stores that have been super eggciting (word taken from the awesome modd.G hee) and had amazing releases. With the sexy hues from these designers, I decided to showcase a more edgy and different side of my style. The skin that I went for to add an edge is non other than my latest skin love vive9! Miranda is by far my favorite from BluAbyss, there’s a glow in this skin that I’ve never quite find in any other skin — I couldn’t resist but get Miranda in Tea which has the most amazing tan I’ve seen in sl. I completely love vive9’s doll like faces, so delicate and petite. Tanned skins usually have an affect of being very mature and strong, I think the faces of vive9 keeps them fresh and extremely modern chic.

So! On to the amazing brands I’ve been harping about. Royal Blue is a store that has extremely inspiring ideas and Marni Grut is just a bubble of creativity! I love The Corporate Pow Wow Jacket that has been appearing all over the feeds, but I decided to feature some of the other great pieces in her collection such as this Meshington Body Suit that has transparent bits on the side, sooo sexy. I also love this pair of Serouse Bow Times Trousers that’s so unique and special. A must for ones inventory. I paired the pieces with a Jacket from Madsy. Madsy is a little store I found whilst roaming about Starlust’s new Elliott sim — gotta love the amazing textures there! This jacket however is just plain awesomesauceness! The sculpt is brilliant and so is the amazing hand drawn textures. Madsy is definitely a store to look out for~

The next look features pieces from Viva La Glam a store that Tomoyo Brietman kindly showed me. I love the deep colors they have there and wowww the gloves come in a whole fatpack for such a reasonable price! Gloves are staples in inventories and I have a soft weak spot for them. I paired this Fuschia Halcyon Dress with their Y-Strap Layered Tank. I particularly loveee the cut of this tank, so versatile and just incredibly modern — rather futuristic which carries along all the other pieces. Marni Grut is giving out these amazing tights for freeee~ I decided to put a back shot to show the intricate zipper design of these tights. They come in a myriad of colors so thanks to Marni’s generosity we’ve got some realllly amazing tights to add to our inventory.

I love the two looks here and they’re definitely very different from the usual looks I do… I think it shows a edgier side of me. Which I’ve also realized about people, some people are two faced and in a virtual community like sl, it’s hard not to meet them. During my time in sl, I’ve witnessed a few ugly events and I’d just like to say attitudes people, attitudes… please keep them in check thank you ~ we’re all people too. (And I’ll try to keep mine in check as well ^^ hee)

Yay! I still can blog whoohoo~
I’m growing a bit rusty I can tell and the new Emerald update is not letting me take snapshots O_O Every time I take a snapshot, my IMs, inventory, edit box all turns transparent. I’m wondering if anyone else faced that problem and knows how to fix it? Cause I have to relog after every snap and it’s evilll… (I’m using a macbook too, if any fellow mac bookers can help! — muacks to you!)

So there’s a few stores that I’ve been dying to cover during my hiatus and I’m so glad I can still do these. First up is darling Moddish who released a whole bunch load of new stuff in Modd.G — this Maya Halter is my favorite in particular. Super boho chic and very versatile~ I paired it up with Doppelganger Inc‘s Junebug dress that I love love love! Doppelganger has been releasing some really adorable clothes and I’m so happy to see their stuff on the grid. Not only are they awesome shape makers, Fran and Syler have been great with clothes as well. They just recently released a dress with whale prints on it, super cute and retro!

This hair from FUGEES Teardrop is unreleased but I ❤ it so much. FUGEES is a very talented Japanese designer who is currently working on not only hair but i’ve seen some of the skins she does as well. Very soft and pretty. I know some of you have asked about this hair on my vendors so if you like it, be on a lookout for FUGEE’s store which hopefully will be around soon!

I hope you guys like this look as I warm up to blogging again, I hope to fix my emerald issues soon so i can take prettier pictures.

hi!! So my reason for being slightly absent is that I’ve recently landed back in Singapore, a place I grew up in and as much as I’m glad to see home again, the internet here is horribly slow. I lag like crazy and I’ve never had so much crashes while blogging outfits before so… poo… poo… and more poo!!

*ahem* Anywho, I wanted to share some stuff with you guys. Chance Greatrex has grown so much since I first met and spoke with him inworld — his poses are by far some of the most couture and inspiring ones I’ve seen in sl, and its never a bore spending time with him. I’m sure most of you have already gotten at least one of his poses, but if you haven’t, do drop by DARE to check them out! He recently has a new pose set up which can be seen used by Dolly Ewing. However, some of you might not know that Chance actually dabbled in clothes before making poses and has some extremely beautiful dresses in his store. He is currently holding a sale, dropping the prices of his dresses to nearly 1/2 of it’s original price! I’m crossing my finger that this perfectionist would start creating more gorgeous dresses as I love them so… I loved the dresses on its own, but being a person who loves creating new looks, I decided to take bits and pieces of his dresses and create entirely different looks from them. I hope I did them justice and entice you to visit his store for some of his beautiful dresses~~

The first look is a little more elegant and couture than what I normally would wear, but I still love it nonetheless. I took the top part of Chance’s Midnight Tango dress and paired it with fourYIP‘s gorgeous black dress pants for something more masculine but still very sexy. What I love most about Midnight Tango is the intricate designs on the sheer front, and how it transitions into a more opaque material at the back~ this dress shows skin without being tacky and extremely sophisticated as all of Chance’s designs.

My short cropped hair (together with the beret) comes from kik — a hair store that I’m so glad to find. I love the hair selection they have there and kik even carries full avatars complete with clothes which some of you might love.
I’m also sporting this brand new skin from ATOMIC; which comes in a variety of skin tone and is such a big improvement from their older skins. I have always loved the faces on ATOMIC skins but find their blushing a little too harsh for my taste — this new line however, is much softer in terms of blushing and has one of the most incredibly drawn bodies I’ve seen in quite some time. Look at that lip! These are early releases before the rest of the make up lines come out, and I must say this red lip is my favorite~

Next, I decided to do something more casual and cute which fits my usual style more. I took Chance’s Golden Retro dress and paired it with a different top from G Field to produce something a little more girly and summer like. I love yellow but it’s always a very hard color to match~ so i’m crossing my fingers that I matched this well… If you’ve never stepped foot in G Field, you’re missing out on some of the most well sculpted flower pieces in sl. Flowers have been all the craze in world lately and if you’re still jumping on that bandwagon, head over to G Field for some flower jewelry, dresses and even shoes! ❤ them…

The hair I’m wearing is a freebie from noju, a brand new girly Japanese store. They don’t have a lot up yet since they’re so new but they do have a freebie dress and this hair up for grabs which I’m sure you’d love! Those tights are also from a brand that recently reopened over at the new Starlust sim, Ty Zvezda carries some great dresses in the most vibrant and brave colors. If you’re a big fan of colors… you won’t be disappointed at Ty Zvezda!

The skin here is yet another make up option from ATOMIC‘s new skin. I normally don’t take pictures showing my chin because it often doesn’t have the right shading to take such an angle… this skin however has slight shading on the chin area, and I love little details like that. I’m also wearing the freckled option, which as you can see has subtle freckles around the body as well — another detail that I love and heart!
